Don't you just hate that!
I've recently finished my first book - it will be printed in a few weeks - and in the book I tried to talk about the difference between successful businesspeople and the not so successful ones.
Apart from the usual "Successful people set goals" comment, my research didn't find anything decent.
Then today I came across an ABC report that reports some recent studies. And the big differences between the successful entrepreneur and the not-so-successful one?
1. They don't care what others think of them.
2. They can't really imagine themselves failing (and I guess even if they did fail, they wouldn't care what others thought anyway!).
Which kind of indicates to me that fear of failure, and the resulting stigma attached to that, is the main thing holding most people back from achieving their dreams.
Cheers.

A lazy $76 billion in sales
Research conducted by Forrester Research found that US online sales surged 48% in 2002 to $76 billion.
70% of online retailers are now profitable (up from 56% in 2001).
If your business doesn't have a web site.....it should.

This could be big
In the blog of Wednesday, April 16, 2003, I mentioned a magazine that might be running an article on one of our web businesses shortly. I mentioned the magazine has a readership of over a million.
And I was right. The magazine readership is in excess of 1.6 million.
The journalist sent through the article to me today just to let me know it was done and ready. The article is brilliant. Not only is it beautifully written, but it also says this at the end of the article: "For more information visit www.mywebsitename.com.au."
If this article gets published the impact in terms of sales for us will be huge. Bigger than huge.
All from 1 email and a story with an angle.
Cheers.
