Do A Survey - It's Critical For SuccessWe do a lot of surveys here at Tailored. Usability surveys for web sites, client satisfaction surveys, product review surveys for clients.....the list goes on.
I've always known that surveys are a great thing to do not only for the direct information you receice. But they're also great because the person taking the survey will be more positive towards your company/business/web site/whatever because you're seen as taking the trouble to ask their opinion.
Here's an excellent white paper (it's a 2 page pdf file) that articulates that (and presents some evidence!) much better than I ever could.
Bottom line: do more surveys.
