I Know Nothing
I Know NothingIt's true. I don't know much at all. But I noticed something funny when I first started doing well in business.
I started doing well at the same time I developed the confidence to say to people "I don't know how to do that/the information you need/etc.....but I'll find out."
As soon as I accepted that people don't expect me to know everything, I relaxed a bit and was more effective at finding the right solution for clients.
I remember my first management role in a public company - I spent the first week learning all about the company and products and the next 2 weeks on the floor asking my fellow employees for their input. The two weeks after that was asking the customers how we could be better.
And every day after that I sought input from customers and fellow employees.
Asking works.

A potential client of mine asked me for a feature that I had no idea of, so said I'd get back to him after speaking to my designer. After a bit of research, the feature he was pointing to was created by a company initially funded by NASA!
