Why You Need A Maths Background To Be Good At Web Site MarketingHowdy. I've been doing a fair bit of work on search engine marketing lately and it's become apparent just why I should have been paying attention in Miss Archer's Grade 10 Maths class at New Town High back in 1982.
# 1: Because I may have received a better mark than I did
# 2: Because those mathematic principles Miss Archer was teaching would be very useful right now as I test the effectiveness of search engine optimisation
With search engine optimisation (where you develop a web site to - hopefully - appear high in the search engine rankings) it's all about testing, changing, testing, reviewing, testing........and on it goes.
Maths Expertise Is Needed
Maths expertise is needed for search engine optimisation. Search engine optimisation is such a potentially lucrative strategy for many web sites that measuring the impact of the various things that are done to develop a site is critical.
And maths expertise is central to that.
Developing web sites is a multi-faceted operation if it's to be done right. Add a mathematician to your team for best results! Miss Archer from New Town High is a good one......I might try and recruit her ;o)

Are you serious?? I mean... just tracking what performed and what didn't sounds pretty easy to me. Isn't it just addition/multiplication?? You don't need algebra to do this, do you?
