I think, and going by the feedback we get many readers agree, that the best part of this web site is that we update it very regularly and that we personalise it as much as possible.

I find that's really important to make a connection with the audience that comes along and reads this site. Sure, I won't always get the content right - some stories are a bit dull, others are ones you might not agree with, and other still will be of no interest

Sometimes I'll say the wrong thing or do the wrong thing according to some.

The Biggest Mistake I See With Web Sites

The biggest mistake I see with web sites is that businesses try and make themselves sound as huge as possible - and that means doing the boring corporate stuff.

You can always pick it - the 'About Us' page will have some corporate mumbo jumbo sounding stuff without identifying anyone in the business or the business address. My 'About me' page is mumbo jumbo, but at least it's real mumbo jumbo.

Personalise your site and let people know who you are and what your values are - at the very least you'll stand out.
