Here's How To Increase The Chances Of Successfully Keeping Your Visitor Who Finds A 'Missing' Page
- Customise your 'error' page so that it informs your visitor of what has just happened
- Customise your error page so that it holds your visitors interest and encourages them to take positive action (that you direct them to) - our error page is meant to be funny
- List easy ways for the visitor to find what they're looking for
- Say sorry and take the blame
- Pop a small script on error pages alerting you to any error pages and telling you where they originated from (so that if it's a bad/old link for example, you can fix it quickly and easily)
