Making Money With Google AdSenseWe make a few dollars by having what's called Google AdSense on some sites. What that means is that on pages - such as this one - an ad from Google AdWords appears that is relevant to whatever the page is about.
I'd get paid each month via cheque from Google - I'd then have to pay a $10 processing fee at the bank and then wait for about 3 weeks for the US cheque to clear. Bit of a pain.
But now things are easy.
Google Announce EFT Payments For AdSense Publishers
".....we've introduced EFT in several new countries. Publishers located in New Zealand, Australia, Norway, and Poland can now have AdSense payments sent directly to their bank accounts while avoiding postal delays and check processing fees."

Ooops, yes we get the cheques in $AUD - you can tell I don't do the banking.
