10 Ways I'll Win The Gold Coast Airport Half Marathon On Sunday
10 Ways I'll Win The Gold Coast Airport Half Marathon On SundayI've just collected my race gear for my run in the Gold Coast Airport Half Marathon on Sunday. Sure, I'll be racing against 4,300 others. Sure, I'm 39 years of age. And sure, I'm not as fast as I used to be.
But I'm experienced and I'm cunning!
I'm # 399 - I think this has leaked out to my (many) fans because I keep receiving lots of messages of support (see below).

10 Ways I'll win:
# 10: I'm going to get to the front before the start, when the gun goes off I'm going to sprint 2 steps forward and then dive like Fabio.
The race will be run and won. I'll protest and win on protest. (Trust me. This one works. I've seen the World Cup.)
# 9: I'm into computers. The official results get posted on the Internet. Hack, hack, hack. All of a sudden the results have Brendon Sinclair at number 1!
# 8: Borrow some diuretics off Warnie's mum. Swallow a lot. Get my weight down to about 5 kilos. Less weight = faster running. I'll cruise in for an easy win......... and look great whilst doing it!
More coming soon. Heh, this is hard work thinking of ways to return to my glory years of youth.
Cheers
Brendon

if it wasn't so sad #10 would be a funny thing. I saw the match too and couldn't believe this (especially after watching the slow motion). But bear up!, South Afrika is coming (I know this is a cold comfort...).
Wish you all the best for Sunday, looking forward to read the rest of your top-10-list...
Cheers,
Gabriel
Appreciate your thoughts - and yes, it was a sad day for Aussie soccer/football. :o(
