Want A Threesome?

Want A Threesome?

Here's an example of a page that doesn't really work on my web site:

Threesome is good!

That's one of my most visited pages on this web site. It's because people search for information about threesomes and that page shows up in some search results.

And trust me on this, there are a lot of people search for info on threesomes.

So lots of people looking for threesome information end up visiting a page about how to write better.

Which is no good for them (wastes their time) and no good for me (wastes my bandwidth).
The only way it could possible benefit me is if I put an ad or affiliate link to an adult-type product on that page. But that's not my style.

Target carefully what terms you want to be found for and keep revising that according to the visitor data you get.

Cheers

Completely off-topic but good luck in the run on Sunday
Wow... my first thought was "Brendon is quite a player..." Then to my supirse, it had nothing to do with threesomes :(

Good article though.

Hey Brendon, I've got a question for you though. Where do you get your stock photo?
I have a similar problem, after interviewing Markus Frind of PlentyofFish.com I started ranking above him at msn.ca for "plentyoffish" resulting in hundreds of unique visitors a day (a very big deal considering what a small percentage of people use MSN as their search engine.)

I changed made a change to my .htaccess file to redirect only the msn.ca traffic to a page with the interview but also dating ads. Unfortunately for me that was the same day that the ranking was lost.

Now if only I could send the search engines a letter asking to remove my rankings for one keyword in exchange for a ranking at another.
Thanks guys

Aaron, the photos usually come from www.istockphoto.com (sign up and add some $ to your account - then you get a huge selection of photos to search and most (99%) only cost $1).

Cheers

Brendon
