Aaaaaaargh Me Hearties, There Be A Reason For Tis
Aaaaaaargh Me Hearties, There Be A Reason For TisMichael Gray is a well respected Search Engine expert who writes a blog called Graywolf's SEO Blog. Every now and then Michael writes about something completely unrelated to search engine optimisation.
His latest post is a book review of The Pirate Hunter.
Now this post, whilst it has nothing to do with getting high search engine rankings, is a great example of how to develop a page for high search engine rankings.
The Key Aspects Of The Post
- 'The Pirate Hunter' in the title tag
- 'The Pirate Hunter' in the heading (and notice how it links back to itself)
- The post references authority sites - Amazon, Google Maps, Google Images, Google Books, Wikipedia and the East Hampton Star.
Type in "The Pirate Hunter" into Google over the next week or so and I'm sure you'll find Michael's post in the top 20 or so.
I assume Michael has done the post to rank high because there are a lot of searches on all things pirate because of "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest."
And that means more visitors for him.
It looks like a simple book review, but things aren't always as they seem.
Cheers
Brendon
