Where We Are

Where We Are

I've been fooling around with Google Maps and Google Earth today (lat=-28.1204195579, lon=153.471926585 if you need to know!).

Thought why I was there I should copy a map of where we are.

Our offices are perfect - above a Korean Restaurant, Dominos Pizza, a Cafe & a Bakery (in order!). The local bar is 50 metres away. The Pacific Ocean about 100 metres away.

Would a map like that help your customers find you?

One of my "To Dos" on my forthcoming business site revamp. A useful tool, especially when one lives in a popular "destination" area. FWIW the Google toolbar is supposed to automatically be able to parse addresses from a page and map them ... when one asks it to with the "Autolink" button, but even though your office address is clearly in view the Autolink doesn't find it ... perhaps it only recognizes North American addresses?

Any excuse for a map is worth using .. on my GPS Blog I find that any day I post something with a map involved my page views nearly double.

Now we are waiting for the web cam aimed out your window at the "scenery" on the beach... that will pick up the page views, for sure ;-)
Thanks Dave

Yep, I've never found it likes Australian address.

I'll take a few shots out the window when the scenery is better.

Cheers

Google Maps recently started covering on my area and they have been a good selling point. One useful advantage is that I can revisit old clients with the "I've been thinking of how to improve your site and came up with this map idea" type of approach which is a good way of keeping in touch and getting more custom.
Absolutely brilliant use Mike.

Well done.

We have a few similar plans with some sites, but I think Google Maps provide enormous opportunities for web developers to sell add on services.

Cheers.
