Christmas Time Is Boom Time For Online Sales

Heather Hopkins is the Director of Research at Hitwise UK and has an excellent blog talking all things Internet.

Being involved with ugg boots sales over the years, I still have some ugg boot interests and was interested to see Heather's stats on searches for ugg boots in the UK a few weeks back.

As I mentioned here a week or so ago, the searches/sales online of ugg boots absolutely boom prior to Christmas. You see, they make such a great gift that the sales go through the roof.

And being very cold in the UK & the US in December certainly helps.

What I find happens when you read a great blog like Heather's is that you become more aware of the importance of statistical analysis when managing web sites - and thus your decision making improves.
