Why Disclosure Works For Me - 2007 Goals
I've often disclosed my goals to family and friends because I've always wanted/needed them knowing what I was aiming for as an incentive to keep going at my goal. It works for me.
I'm sitting here trying to figure out what my goals should be for 2007. I tend to break them down to:
Community
- Stay President of the Palm Beach Scouts - Scouts are a terrific organisation that offer plenty to kids.
- Something else - not sure yet.
- Launch 2 new web site businesses of our own, as well as increase our number of affiliate sites and sites that generate some income from Adsense.
- Specific business goals/targets I won't mention here.
- Ride my pushbike from Sydney to the Gold Coast (home) - that's about 1,000 km (621 miles).
- Swim across the Derwent River (2 km), then run to the top of Mt Wellington (1,270 metres above sea level).
- Learn to ride a motorbike
- Join a gun club - learn how to shoot pistols
Not sure yet.
What are your goals for 2007? Do you tell others about them to help you keep motivated?
Cheers
Brendon

I love the life-balance in your categories - Community, Business, Physical, Self Improvement, Leadership.
In 2007 who we are, how we are and why we are, is a choice.
We get to choose the type of person we become.
We don't have to be the product of our life-experiences.
We get to choose to be incredible, amazing, inspirational and exceptional human beings DESPITE our life experiences. DESPITE what the world or others have taught us. DESPITE our situation or circumstances.DESPITE our history and DESPITE the expectations of others.
Mother Teresa did.
Martin Luther did.
Nelson Mandela did.
They did exceptional things, they lived exceptional lives, they were exceptional.
By Choice.
Keep up the great original writing. I love your blog.

Enjoy your blog too (he says, as part of the Mutual Admiration Society!).
I'm an Existentialist from way back - everything is a choice.
I have one of those addictive personalities, so find sketching out a bit of balance is a good thing to do.
All the best for the New Year to you and yours.
Cheers

I am rather competitive - which is a sad for a bloke who runs so slow!
