Bad Timing - LA Weight Loss Closes

In a post a couple of weeks ago I mentioned LA Weight Loss - a weight loss company here in Australia whose US parent uses celebrities to help promote the brand.

I must be the kiss of death because LA Weight Loss have just closed their doors here in Queensland without notice. There is an open letter to LA Weight Loss clients here for more info.

I wonder how much assistance the US LA Weight Loss parent gives the Australian franchise owners?

Perhaps the 2 markets are just so different that some of the marketing aspects are simply not relevant here?

It's a good lesson that what works in one market doesn't always work in other markets.

But nice marketing by the Healthy Inspirations weight loss program team - they offer 3 months free memberships to the LA Weight Loss members who have lost out.
