Buyers Agent - Sunshine Coast Savings

One industry I've always felt needed a shake up has been the real estate industry. It's never made sense to me that for such a major purchase (hundreds of thousands of $$) the buyer trusts (to an extent) the seller (real estate agent).

We've had instances here on the Gold Coast where the real estate developers fly people in from interstate, show them a couple of units, sell them one at a hugely inflated price and fly them back out again.

My brother recently used a buyers agent on the Sunshine Coast here in Australia and saved himself a ton of time, money and hassle.

Instead of having to search for the property himself (and try and assess local areas on the unfamiliar Sunshine Coast) he had the buyers agent do all of that for a fee.

Buyers agents on the Sunshine Coast and elsewhere will review the area, find suitable houses, negotiate the sale and do a lot more.

Most importantly the buyers agent acts in the buyers interest and doesn't fall for any nonsense dished out by the Real Estate Agent.

Something like 87% of people will research major items online prior to buying them. The Internet has opened up a lot of industries - including Real Estate - and I'd love to see the buyers agent become more prevalent.
