Your Handshake Matters

A handshake matters to men.

Your handshake is the sort of thing that, if it's okay, doesn't rate a comment.

But if you have a weak, limp handshake then your personal brand weakens.

One thing guys will comment on is someone who has a limp handshake.

Refusing A Handshake Is The Same As Spitting On You

One thing a guy will almost never do is refuse to shake an offered handshake. It's pretty much the same as spitting on you.

On the news last night I saw the Prime Minister of Australia, John Howard, walk up to a construction worker with an outstretched hand. This moron says "I don't want to shake your hand, mate."

The Prime Minister, who is in election mode, says "That's fine, you don't have to shake my hand" and keeps walking.

The correct response from any Aussie guy in that situation is a punch in the head, then a few more if you can get them in.

Sure, violence isn't an appropriate way to resolve conflict. But it's a good way to let a guy know he can't insult you!

• how much you weigh
• how you look
• what sort of glasses you wear

Everyone makes a judgment on everything about you.
