The Web Design Business Kit 2.0 Competition
My wife is so strong! We've just had delivered 3 of my new Web Design Business Kits and poor Mel had to lug them up the stairs.
Now, as good a read they are (!), I simply can't read 3 of them at once so we're having a competition to give away one. It's valued at $247 (read all about the Kit here) and how you win it is..............I'm not sure!
Any suggestions on how we should pick a winner? Once we have a clue we'll start the contest (should be by tomorrow morning).
Cheers
Brendon

Looking at the size of that package you better first re-think the giveaway contest rules as far as geography ... it'll cost a fortune to shi[ that lummox internationally ... oh, wait, for you, no problem ha ha.
Seriously, two ideas for the contest:
First ... the sort of "standard" of today's blog contests .. a raffle where a person gets one chance for making a comment, a second chance for posting on their blog about it, a thrid chance for subscribing to your RSS feed... etc. (I'm already in for two chances then)
Second ... an essay competition where interested folks write in and tell you why they want the kit and how they plan to use it. The catch? The winners must agree to write detailed weekly or monthly progress reports on how they use the kit for say a year ... on their own blog or as guest posts on yours. That's the kind of story ... remember we all like stories ... that has "legs" ... and it would be downright interesting to me (and probably 2 or 3 other people) to actually follow someone's progress and see just how successful they are and/or where they might stub their toe.
You could even use the results (condition of entry) as a new chapter in the kit!
You could even announce/promote the competition on whirlpool.
Also how about a slight variation of Dave's first one with the most number of referred visitors.
I like the idea of maybe the best "This is what I did story and this was the impact." (Kind of like my little story about the garlic incident from yesterday's post.)
I really like David's post about the 2Clix/reputation management one.
Thanks again.
I liked your thoughts about the 2clixs/whirlpool fiasco ... ought to be a lot of good comments/blog fodder in that .. if Brendon can take the heat, that is?
