Do I Say Too Much?

Do I say too much on this blog?

Do I, perhaps, scare off potential clients when I talk of $10,000 or $20,000 sites?

Or when I talk of increasing our hosting prices?

Maybe I am a bit too honest.

But at least that makes the site real. And believable. And easier to write!

Because I see a ton of web development businesses that are shrouded in corporate speak. I think it's better to say something that gets people to think, rather than saying nothing at all.

Cheers

Brendon

It's an interesting question, Brendon. My vote is that making the fact that you charge prices commensurate with value helps eliminate a lot of useless inquiries from folks who would never make good candidate clients ... but then again, I don't do web sites for a living.

I found that when I was selling GPS hardware for a living the industry was one big morass of resellers, often handling the same product, charging all sorts of different prices and it turned a lot of prospects off ... so I really think prices should be more open.
