What Marketers Need To Know
Okay, here's the thing......how can I say this gently?Some people are incredibly dumb. Really, really stupid.
Many times these dumbass people will be your customers. Logic ain't gonna work all the time (in fact, logic ain't gonna work much of the time.).
People generally buy on emotional needs - and then rationalise the purchase to themselves in some way.
Don't market your product or service on logic. The best doesn't always win.
Here's a treat to start your day. A dumb person for you to watch mouth agape and with your head shaking.

she was walking home past a football field and her blonde friend was in the middle of the oval sitting in a canoe on the grass paddling for all she was worth.
This lady started yelling at the blonde in the canoe
"You idiot !! what are you doing??
to which the canoe lady reacted
"come out here and say that you B@%%$$$Ch!!"
" what Dont be silly I cant swim!!!"
It's particularly sad that the subject the lady was so ignorant of is geography. Funny how we, the "almighty Americans" try to boss the whole world around and can't even find most of that which we think we know more than.
A couple weeks ago a Chinese corporation took over the positon of the largets (by capital) corporation in the entire world, and the Wall Street Journal annonced a new Chinese edition.
The new prime Minister of Australia, unlike any US president in memory speaks two languages. His ssecond is Mandarin. Unlike George Bush I would bet he even knows the difference between Australia and Austria.
Laugh at the dumb blond ... because you must ... but cry for a once smart people who have now reached the point where they don't even know how clueless they really are ... and no hate mail please, sad to say i am one of them.
