Why You Need Case Studies On Your Web Site

Just read an interesting study from Avenue A|Razorfish's "Digital Consumer Behavior Study:

"55% of the 475 US Internet users surveyed in July 2007 reported checking other people’s opinions online."

Just 22% looked at comparison charts and 21% read expert reviews.

I know that I'm more influenced by reviews by 'real' people than almost anything else.

What That Means For Your Web Site

Firstly, it means that my post below about Stitch n Print is more likely to generate a sale for them than almost anything else.

The use of case studies and testimonials on a site is essential.

Cheers

Brendon

I for one couldn't agree more. Hard proof is our eczema website, after some regulatory intervention (got to love them) we have had to take all the testimonials off our site. We had pages of them with before and after photos, audio and everything. The result - sales are at 1/3rd of what they were... We are scrambling to get the testimonials compliant and back on the site.
