Draft 1: Not Pregnant, Just Fat
Humorist Dave Barry is a lot smarter than me. Dave's Pearls of Wisdom include:# 5: You should never say anything to a woman that even remotely suggests you think she's pregnant unless you can see an actual baby emerging from her at that moment.
I know that. I agree entirely.
But there was this 1 time..........I met this woman who was very obviously 9 months (if not more) pregnant.
I asked her when she was due.
Oh dear.
Things get kind of ugly when you ask a woman when she's due and she isn't actually pregnant. She's just fat.
Moral(s) of the story: Some things just shouldn't be mentioned. I can outrun an obese 30 yo woman.
