People Lie - Just Ask Them
I received a fax offer for a Widescreen Flat Panel Monitor from Dell yesterday.The heading says:
"85% Of Small Business Managers Want Environmentally Friendly IT Products"
Ummmm, no Dell. They don't. The correct heading would be:
"85% Of Small Business Managers Will Say They Want Environmentally Friendly IT Products, But When They Go To Purchase They'll Buy The Cheapest IT Products That Will Do The Job They Want Done."
It's the classic mistake marketers make.
Always, always, always ignore what people say they'll do and act upon what they actually do. They're usually 2 completely different things.
Sad sometimes, but true.
