Broadband Growing in Australia

Broadband internet connections in homes and small businesses have doubled in the past 12 months, with more than 1.2 million new customers signed up for high-speed internet services last year, with a 20 per cent increase in the September quarter, according to a survey released by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission.

What this means for the web is that online sales will increase (people with broadband stay online longer. One of the strongest indicators in likelihood of purchase is the length of time you stay online.), as will the online use of video and audio (broadband means easier access for viewers/listeners).
