I'm pretty modest as your probably know by now. [insert look of incredulity here]

Okay, I know I'm not really modest. By that I mean I'm not modest at all. I have confidence. Don't know where I got it from, but I have it. (It's never based on anything - certainly not talent, knowledge or skill!)

Anyway, I'm here to show you the greatest ad ever written. It's below. It can be for radio or print or TV or the web. It can be for anything at all. And here it is.............

Buy this product because.........

Don't say I don't give you great info!

The vast majority of ads we see today don't do what they have to do. They don't sell. And they don't sell because they don't give the reader/viewer/listener a reason to buy.

It's that simple.

If you want your customer to buy your stuff you have to tell him why he should.  Don't tell him the features of the product. Or the colour. Not the brand. Not even the price.

Tell him the difference between your product and the competition and what that difference means to him in terms of what value it gives him.

That's it. No tricks. No secrets. Nothing too fancy.

The only thing you have to advertise or market is your difference. Just keep telling your market what your difference is and how that helps the market and you'll sell, sell, sell.

(If your business or product doesn't have a point of difference in the marketplace then sell. Because you won't have a business for long.)
