New Promo Graphics - Which One Is Best?

When I wrote that last post and mentioned my Web Design Business Kit I included a link over to the kit page.

When I went to get the link I noticed 3 new creative pieces for the promotion of my Kit.



The correct answer is, of course, the one that works the best.

The job is to attract interested people to check out the kit.

• Ugly,
• Beautiful,
• Bold,
• Subtle.

None of it matters.

What matters in design is does it do the job it is meant to?

Web Designer in Shepparton Takes A Swipe!

Steve Nicel is a web designer in Shepparton, Victoria here in the land of Oz who has just given me the best back-handed compliment ever delivered to my cherub cheeks.

"Hi Brendon.

Anyway, Steve and I chatted about his web design business near Shepparton and the difficulties of working from home. It's something a lot of web developers do and it's something a lot of them struggle with.

When we first started close on 10 years ago, we started from home. It's a tough gig with plenty of distractions.

The Best Thing To Do When Working From Home

The best thing you can do working from home, I found anyway, is get out and join those business clubs, golf clubs, have breakfast with friends once a week, etc.

Get away from home, clear your head and you'll find yourself so much more effective and efficient.

Do You Have The Web Design Business Kit Cover?

Howdy

If you've purchased my Web Design Business Kit in the past I have a favour to ask.

You see, the kit is dedicated to Mrs Pearce my Grade 2, 3 and 4 teacher. I never told Mrs Pearce I'd dedicated the book to her - in fact I haven't spoken with her 30 years.

Mrs Pearce Made A Huge Impression

But Mrs Pearce made a huge impression on me when I was a kid and instilled in me a love of learning.

A few weeks back I thought I should call and say "Thanks" for her being a wonderful teacher and mention that I'd dedicated the kit to her.

So we hunted down the number and called.

Mrs Pearce seemed quite chuffed that I called and I said my Thank You.

I'm going to send Mrs Pearce the framed covers of both the original and updated version of the Kit.......... except I don't have the previous edition cover.

Because the publishers sold out of the original Kit I can't get it from them.

Do You Have The Cover Of The Original Web Design Business Kit?

So I'm hoping that one of the readers of this blog has purchased the original Kit and would be so kind as to slip the cover out of the main manual and post it to me.

Someone Called Me A Bad Name - With Affection

Being a man, it stands to reason that I'm an ego maniac.

Being an ego maniac it stands to reason that I love getting praised.

The thing I get praised most about, apart from my magnificent legs and incredible good looks, is The Web Design Business Kit.


I always enjoy the emails that compare me to God and rate the Kit as a 'bible'. Heh, what can I say?!

It's that good!

Anyhoo, I had someone call me a "bastard" today - but it was said with affection!

I normally wouldn’t contact someone right out of the blue like this, however, having just finished your marvelous business kit I feel a little bit like General George Patton saying “You magnificent bastard, I read your book!”

You can't buy the greatest book ever written (my old mum aways said "If you don't blow your own trumpet no one else will." Keep in mind this is the same woman who used to lock us kids under the stairs during a thunderstorm, so she's not completely logical!) anymore because it's completely and utterly SOLD OUT.
