Okay, it's here. We proudly announce the launch of our Tailored Podcast web site - on the site we'll upload a new 20 minute audio show every week.

That's 20 minutes of me talking you through marketing, media and web strategies that work. And, of course, I will throw in my own style of humour (I'm very, very, very funny.....truly. I am.).

I'll be doing the first show completely naked and you can win a Mini iPod. Yep, just listen in for competition details and you can win a fabulous Mini iPod - a perfect gift for Christmas (or for you!).

We'll post show notes on the site but, alas, there will be no photography of me doing the show (just in case it's a little cold..... if you get what I mean!).

Make no mistake about it - Google is the number one web business and will continue to have a huge impact in the online and the offline world for years to come.

Google have just launched Google Analytics - an excellent program that measures your web site statistics and presents a huge variety of useful reports. For free.

They also recently launched Google Talk (A voice over ip service where you can talk to others with Google Talk for free). Then there's gmail - a huge web based email program. Both free.

Then there is Google Desktop Search - a program that very quickly searches your desktop. I've found it a lifesaver on numerous occasions. It's free.

Then there is Google Adsense - a program where you can put Google Adwords on your web site and earn a % of the profits generated. (This site gets paid $30,000+ US per month for running ads that visitors click on). Both free to sign up for.

Then there is Blogger (owned by Google) - a free blogging software program.

Google has the power to change the world. And they are at the moment. Now that they're a public company let's hope they, like a superhero, use their powers for good.

Last week I was strapped into a helicopter simulator along with 4 clients. A crane dropped us in the water. The simulator then capsized and sunk to the bottom.

We were thrown around like rag dolls. We were upside down. We were completely disorientated. We all got out alive.

An hour later I was standing on the struts of a chopper as I prepared to be winched down 60 feet into the ocean. My clients soon followed.

In marketing, with any business, it's important to develop a relationship with your clients. And, despite their complaining that I was trying to kill them, my clients loved every minute of the Helicopter Survival training we did together.

Whether it's saying a nice word, or dropping in a box of chocolates, or doing a Helicopter Survival training day, getting to know your clients is the right thing to do (and it's an excuse to do helicopter training!).
