Online Doctor A Reality With Telehealth

Looks like the future is here with the announcement on the weekend that Australian provider GP2U is about to provide online doctor consultations between GPs and patients as part of the Government Telehealth program.

What a brilliant use of a program like Skype to get expert care to those who are in urgent need or remote areas with an online doctor available.

Looks like the Government is getting their head around the need for a national broadband network for medical issues.

Cheers,

  1. What a great idea, Brendon. Not only great for counties like Australia, where the standard of living is generally quite good, but the vast distances and low population density make equal medical care for all difficult, but translates easily into other professions aside from medicine.

More and more the idea that you don’t have to earn a living from a particular location just because you chose to live in that location marches on.

The Internet can be so much more than FaceBook ;-0

Merry Christmas to you, and a Happy New year, to you and Mel, Laura, Jack and Harry.
