I commenced my business career in 1986 with the founding of Same Day Couriers, Australia Post's first contracted delivery service in Tasmania.

I sold the business some time later to focus on establishing a marketing business.

In 1997, after working extensively with the publicly listed Australian Hospital Care Limited, I was seconded to head up the Marketing Division at the company's largest hospital acquisition in Queensland.

After completion of this major contract, I once again took on private clients and founded Tailored Consulting, which quickly became one of Queensland's premier marketing & web design firms.

I've been in the Internet development industry for the past 8 years.

Work & Play

Tailored Consulting provides marketing advice to businesses and also has a strong web development focus - that is, we develop web sites for others. We also own and manage a number of our own web sites.

I also do a lot of writing these days - following the success of The Web Design Business Kit I was asked to write the SitePoint Tribune. The Tribune is one of the world's big web developer newsletters with 135,000+ subscribers. That goes out every 2nd week.

I speak to a variety of business and student groups - usually regarding the Internet and/or marketing. I do a speech every couple of weeks.

I have a regular gig on ABC Radio talking all things Internet. I also put out Brendon Sinclair's Business Mix every week via our podcast at TailoredPodcast.com.

I'm the President of the Palm Beach Scout Committee, Vice President of the Gold Coast Media Club (a charity group) and we donate our services free of charge to CareFlight Queensland - a rescue service based here in Queensland.

On a more personal note I've been married to the gorgeous Mel (for 16 years) and we have 3 children - Laura (14), Jack (13) and Harrison (11).

For fun I try and keep fit by running, swimming, cycling and going to the gym. I play tennis with some friends each week and golf most weeks (I'm no good at either!). The family go camping quite a bit (Jack is a camping nut).
