Surprised you separated 1 & 3. Many SEO problems are caused by "techies" [to quote seamus] not doing coding properly, many other ones are caused by not publishing about what you want to rank for.

Hi Brendon,

Your blog and your Web Design Business Kit have been, and remain, brilliant resources that help develop the knowledge of building and running a business for those who are techie at heart.

I'd guess that, similarly, many techies who have ventured into freelancing or running their own business may not know the practical steps in how to actually market a web site.

I know that, when I started, I was even put off by the term "strategy". It sounds very grand, but I guess its just a list of things that you intend to do in each of those strands to achieve an objective.

This post is a great starting point and a reminder of the main elements to eMarketing.

Cheers
