Why The Heck Does He Want Me To Manage Him?

I had a meeting today with a businessman and his manager. They flew up from Sydney to have a chat.

They were great guys. Both very intelligent, very switched on and very committed. Good and decent people.

They came to discuss us managing a part of his business.

During the meeting it came out that the businessman makes $3 million a year. That's about $10,000 a day.

When they told me this, my first thought was "What do you need us for - you're doing just fine."

It Then Became Apparent

The businessman makes his money only when he is selling. What his manager does for him is remove every single distraction to this that he possibly can.

They simply identify experts in their fields to take care of the peripheral stuff so that the businessman can do what he does so well, without any distractions whatsover. That's smart. Real smart.

Remove Distractions

Remove whatever distractions in your business life that keep you from being successful. Plan your day better, put systems in place, employ an expert, etc.

Do what you can do to make your business a success. You deserve it. Let's hope you and I are having a meeting next year to discuss managing your $50 million empire!
