YouTube Video Test

 

 

The steps we took were:

  - Production Steps -

1. Shoot Video

2. Transfer video from video camera to PC

3. Edit video

 

   - YouTube steps -

4. Create user account - about 5 mins

5. Choose upload video - YouTube will get you to confirm your email address before you can upload.

6. Choose My videos and "Upload Video" - you may need to logout and back in again to ensure YouTube recognises you as a verified user.

7. YouTube recommends the following video settings:

  • MPEG4 (Divx, Xvid) format
  • 320x240 resolution
  • MP3 audio
  • 30 frames per second framerate

8. Go back to editing software, and export video to recommended setting - you can export as a quicktime export file or a divX file.

9. Check your video looks ok once it has been exported.

10. Go back to YouTube, fill out the information on your video.

11. Select Upload, and choose the file to upload. Upload of a 30 second file took about 2 minutes on our broadband connection.

12. Check the file information is correct and the permission are set to how you want, then copy and paste the code ready for your website.

13. Paste the code into your website page, and upload.

14. Voila! Sit back and watch your video masterpiece live on YouTube.
